Judge Santiago Burdon Judge Santiago Burdon is an American author, poet, and musician renowned for his raw, transgressive fiction and evocative poetry. He has had 9 books published at this time and his writing has appeared in over 350 literary journals, magazines, podcasts, and anthologies worldwide. His contributions to modern literature earned him listings in Who's Who of Emerging Writers in 2020 and 2021. His writing reflects a deep reverence for classical storytelling, fused with the stark reality of lived experience. A self-described “recovering Catholic, drug fiend and addict, a drunk, a thief and ex-con,” Burdon’s life informs the depth and grit of his storytelling. His coined term, “Impulse Fiction” describes his style—raw, immediate, and unfiltered. It is storytelling driven by instinct and experience, often shedding light on the fringes of society, with compassion, witty dark humor, and brutal honesty.
